Why Education?
A good education is essential. Young people will be able to make better decisions in life and will also be able to obtain higher paying and beneficial careers. A good education not only teaches the essential skills of the working world, it also prepares the mind to make balanced, healthy, and intelligent decisions about any situation that may occur on life's journey.
Our Commitment
Since the closure of the Saints Study Support Centre in April 2011 following the withdrawal of Government funding, the Saints Foundation is committed to re opening the Centre and ensuring it continues to support the learning objectives of the city's schools.
Open five days a week and based at St Marys Stadium, the Saints Education Centre will offer a vibrant and unique learning environment for students using the brand of Southampton Football Club to engage underachieving pupils who are struggling at school to attain Government targets on literacy, numeracy and ICT. The objective is to fund an Education Officer and to offer tailored learning programmes for young people and adults who require assistive learning support.
All donations make a real difference and can fund the following costs:-
£100 : Would pay for a class of 15 pupils from a Southampton school to attend St Marys Stadium for a booster session in literacy, numeracy or the PHSE syllabus, supporting the edcuation of young people.
£350 : Delivers an education and sports programme for young people at risk of exclusion from school for a 10 week period, resulting in an accredited qualifcation.
£12 000 : Pays for all full time Education Officer for 6 months.
Saints Disablility Programme - £45 000
Why Disablility Sport?
The physical and psychological benefits of exercise should be accessible to all members of our community. In addition to feeling good, raising self-confidence, promoting better health and possible improvement in ability, sport and exercise can also bring added benefits such as social interaction and friendship.
Our Commitment
The Saints Foundation and Southampton Football Club is committed to ensuring the Club is accessible to all and promotes an inclusive programme of activities. The Foundation subscribes to the ethos of creating opportunities for young people and vulnerable adults with cognitive and physical disablilities to enjoy the benefits of playing or watching football on a level playing field.
The extensive coaching programme operates all year round with a dedicated Disability Officer working in local schools to support the physical education programme. Additional sessions operate out of school hours in Southampton and the New Forest with over 140 players taking part each week.
The players represent SFC at local tournaments with the flagship event taking place at St Marys Stadium each year to celebrate the programme. The existing project is part funded by the Football Foundation which comes to an end in Augut 2012, at which time the Saints Foundation aims to raise the necessary funds to sustain the project year on year.

£80 : Pays for the cost of a venue for 3 hours to hold a coaching session for 30 young people and adults with disabilities.
£450 : Pays for a coach to transport the Saints disablility squad of 40 players to a local & national football festival.
£12 000 : Funds a full time disablility officer to co ordinate the disablility programme for 6 months.
