Southampton Football Club embraces its role within the community and is committed to ensuring the power of football can have a lasting impact in the local and regional districts.
The Saints Foundation consolidates the successful football, sport and education programme with a fresh commitment to our charity work. With over 25 000 young people and adults taking part in activities and over 190 000 accumulative visits each year, the programme is successful in capturing the attention of the public and offering a wide range of opportunities which ultimately makes a positive difference to people’s lives.
Our first year's ambition was to raise £150 000 to build a Multi Use Games Area for the local St Marys Community and work will commence in the Autumn 2011 to make the facility a reality. Season 2011/12 entends our amibtions to support specific project in Education, Adults at risk of homelessness, the development of young people in the city of Southampton as well as the successful Saints Disablility programme. Our success is based on successful partnerships with funding partners, local organisations with like minded ambitions and the Club's magnificent fansbase who continually contribute donations and take part in fundraising projects year in year out to ensure we continue to make a difference. Further contributions from the Football League Trust and the Football Foundation ensure the projects continue to expand and we also welcome aap3 as a key partner, who have gifted their expertise to create this bespoke website as well as making a donation to the Saints Foundation.
The Foundation is always looking to develop the programme and welcomes partners from the commercial, statutory or voluntary sectors. We have a successful track record for delivering results as well as activating a Corporate Social Responsibility strategy for the business community.
