Saints Foundation has recently introduced the Saints Education Centre with a primary objective to support the education attainment of both young people and adults in Southampton.  The Foundation is committed to maintaining an inspiring and supportive environment to engage pupils and students through the power of football. 

G.O.A.L.S.

Gaining Opportunities And Learning Skills is a Entry to Employment partnership with Totton College which offers 16-19 year olds an inspiration environment for learning.

Based at St Marys Stadium the 20 week course delivers a Level 1 BTEC Award in Sport & Active Leisure as well as achieving an FA Level 1 coaching qualification and preparation for work, e.g. CV writing and work placement opportunities.

City College - 6th Form Partnership

Saints Foundation and City College launched a partnership in September 2010 to deliver a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Sport (Development, Coaching and Fitness).  The course is delivered by City College Southampton with the aim of providing talented footballers outside the professional game, with the opportunity to develop their football ablility whilst giving students the academic foundation to open doors to careers in the sports industry or a place at university.

Saints Foundation deliver the practical aspects of the course such as fitness and conditioning as well as four hours football coaching per week with students having the opportunity of representing the College in the college leagues each Wednesday throughout the season.

Futsal & Education Scholarship

The Saints Foundation now offers an exciting 6th Form College course for 16 & 17 year olds who are looking for an inspring education programme based at St Mary's Stadium. The full time college course delivers a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Sports Studies with the sole focus of being a 'stepping stone' to University or employment.  As well as achieving the Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Sports Studies, the two year programme consists of the following;

  •  An average of 6 hours Futsal coaching each week delivered by Saints coaches
  •  Represent Southampton Football Club  in a National Futsal League
  • Achieve a Sports Leaders Awards
  • Further Coaching Awards, such as the beginners guide to Futsal and the FA level 1 coaching qualification
  • Opportunities Work Experience and part time employment opportunities with the Saints Foundation.

Home or Away

We offer a range of PHSE content which is delivered by Foundation staff either at St Marys Stadium (Home) or at your school (Away).  If your school would like to visit the Stadium why not add value with a Stadium Tour . Subjects include:-

  • Saints & Savers - Raising awareness of water conservation and the role water plays in our lives. click here to find out more.
  • SaintsLife  - Raising awareness on the need to lead a balanced lifestyle covering diet, nutrition and physical activity.
  • Respect - The content covers the definition of respect, videos and thoughts, Everyday life, Role play and freeze frames with the objective of young people understadning their role within the community and the consequences of poor decision making.

Accredited Sports Qualification

The Saints Foundation is equipped to deliver a range of accredited qualifications for children and young people such as;

  • Young Leaders Award
  • Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership
  • Level 2 Award in Sports Leadership 
  • Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership
  • FA Level 1 coaching qualification
