A True Saints Challenge
This year the Saints Foundation has launched our ‘True Saints Challenges’ to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our fundraisers who make a huge contribution to our ambitions and ensure the Saints Foundation can continue making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people and vulnerable adults.
Every fundraiser who signs up for a True Saints Challenge and raises a minimum of £150 will receive a True Saints Award at our annual True Saints Awards evening held each season, with the inaugral event scheduled for April 2013. Our True Saints Challenges offer you a variety of options, from trekking in the UK and overseas to taking on a local fundraiser with your family, you can even dive with Sharks or take on running a marathon at the foot of Kilimanjaro.

Big Bike Challenge - Monday 9th April 2012
Join your fellow fans and get peddling for this years Big Bike Challenge….Easter Monday sees us riding the challenging 85miles to Crystal Palace, leaving St Mary’s early morning and taking on the route for the Foundation and Help the Hospices, you will arrive in time for the game in the afternoon. Registration is £50 (includes your ticket, t-shirt and transport home) and then we ask you to raise a further £350 minimum sponsorship for our chosen charities. Zip Wire at St Marys Stadium - Saturday 26th May 2012
Soar across the pitch on a Zip Wire right here at St Mary’s Stadium….start off up high behind the goal in the Northam Stand and glide over the pitch all the way down to the Groundsman’s tunnel. An amazing experience and a one off way to see the pitch! Get signed up today so as not to miss out on a place, registration is just £15 and we ask you to raise minimum sponsorship of £85.

London Stadia Trekathon - Sunday 13th May & Saturday 1st September 2012
Walk in the footsteps of the 2012 London Olympic Athletes and see the capital city from a different perspective.
A challenging 26 mile walk across the capital city, see’s you pushing yourself to complete the adventure as you take in Olympic sites and venues across the city. A tough one day event through the urban landscape forms an enormous challenge for walkers, but with the route fully marshalled and stops available, this is set to be a great challenge on which you can experience some of London’s new legacies that have been formed.
Registration is just £49, direct through the organiser discover adventure (www.discoveradventure.com) and we ask you to aim to raise a minimum of £100 (remember that £150 makes you eligible for a True Saints Award)

Sahara Desert Trek - Friday 26th October 2012
Imagine the feel of the Sahara desert underfoot, taking in mesmerising landscapes beyond your wildest
expectations and dramatic sand dunes as far as the eye can see.
Trekking the Sahara Desert will provide you with an unbelievable experience which you will never forget. Going into the heart of the Sahara: the second largest desert in the world and one of the last great areas of wilderness, its one of the hottest, driest (and sandiest!) places on Earth and trekking through this vast sea of sand is set to be a truly unique experience.
Camping under the stars, crossing open plains, trekking through the dunes and on your home stretch, visiting the city of Marrakech, this 10 day trek is awe-inspiring and humbling, so if you have the desire to take part in the challenge of a lifetime for a charity close to your heart then this is the trip for you.

BUPA Great South Run - Sunday 28th October 2012
For the 2012 Bupa Great South Run we have 25 places available. Entry can be confirmed with a £50 deposit with a minimum of £250 to be raised in total by each participant. Shark Encounter – January 2013
Fancy getting up close with Sand Tiger Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Zebra Sharks and more?!....well this may be the challenge for you! The vast tank at Blue Planet Aquarium is large enough to thrill even a seasoned diver. The aqua-tunnel below is one of the longest in the world at 230ft and you will not only be swimming with the sharks, but all the fish and other underwater creatures you would find burrowing in a reef under the real deep blue sea!
This is an amazing opportunity at the Blue Planet Aquarium, Cheshire, where you will also receive full instruction, expert supervision, free entry for two spectators and guaranteed up close encounters!! You can pay for the cost of the shark dive direct (£205) and raise £150 sponsorship for the Foundation, or come direct to us and just raise £300 and take part in the Shark Dive for Free!!

Kilimanjaro Climb
For 2013 do you want to take on a challenge of a life time? Kilimanjaro is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and attracts thousands of trekkers each year, hoping to reach its summit, an impressive 5895m above sea level, we’re offering you the chance to go and experience this, all in aid of the Saints Foundation.
The beautiful Machame Route approaches Kilimanjaro from the south and the 6 day trek starts through the dense tropical rainforest and passes through some of the mountains best features; the Shira Plateau, Barranco Wall and Karamha Valley, on the way to the summit. This is a tough but spectacularly rewarding route with stunning views and a good acclimatisation route as well. This trip is with the company, Action Challenge (www.actionchallenge.com), who have taken over 1000 people to Kilimanjaro and have the most dedicated team supporting every trip out there. Alongside this, the Saints Foundation will support all trekkers with fundraising and sponsorship and our dedicated Events coordinator is on hand to help with any enquiries at all times.

The Saints Foundation is pleased to announce its latest African adventure in partnership with our international charity partners; Kick4Life, which is taking place in February 2013. The Foundation will be operating a 10-day Supporters Tour to Lesotho, southern Africa with Kick4Life, an award winning charity that uses the power of football to transform lives of some of the world’s poorest children.
