The Saints Foundation has introduced a fleet of Smart Cars for a number of coaches to travel around local community. They are part of a 50 strong team who deliver the success football, sport and education programme throughout Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and Berkshire all year round coaching in excess of 300 sessions per week.
Southampton Football Club and the Saints Foundation fully embrace its responsibility towards environmental issues and the addition of eight Smart Cars ensures the coaches are cutting down on their CO2 emissions and fuel costs when travelling between coaching commitments. The vehicles use the world’s smallest direct injection engine to achieve economical results with a combined mpg of 85.6 and exceptionally low emissions of 88g/km.
Pictured supporting the commitment is Club Captain Kelvin Davies and the 8 Foundation staff with the vehicles branded in striking Saints colours ensuring high visibility when on the road.
Mark Abrahams, Head of the Saints Foundation commented, “The addition of the cars really adds a wow factor to our promotional opportunities whilst also ensuring we progress our commitment to improving our environmental credentials.”
The Saints Foundation aims to Inspire, Support and Deliver a wide range of charitable objectives with a new and innovative approach to raising funds for worthwhile causes. If you would like further information on the programme or how you can get involved, call 0845 6889370.
