An official charity collection in aid of Kick 4 Life, Southampton Football Club’s International Charity partner, will be held outside St Mary's prior to the MK Dons fixture.
Kick4Life was founded by Southampton fans Steve and Pete Fleming who grew up Shirley. They set up the charity in 2005 which uses football to deliver health education to orphans and vulnerable children in southern Africa. Pete says: "We are thrilled to be supported by the Saints Foundation, and the backing of the club and its supporters will enable us to reach many more young people in need."
Appearing at half time representing Kick4Life will be international football freestyler John Farnworth. John is raising funds for Kick4Life with an extraordinary challenge - on April 17th he will attempt to become the first person to complete the London Marathon keeping a football in the air for the entire 26.2 miles!
To support John's challenge text 'Football' to 70777 for a £10 donation. This will enable one child to be tested for HIV, with those testing positive referred to life-saving medical treatment.
Thank you in advance for your support. To find out more about Kick4Life and how you can get involved visit www.kick4life.org.
