Following a bucket collection at the Saints v MK Dons fixture last Saturday Southampton fans showed their generosity by donating £1004.62 to the Club’s Official International Charity partner; Kick4Life. This amount will enable Kick4Life to deliver health education and an HIV test to 100 children in Africa, referring those who test positive to ongoing medical treatment and support. The Saints Foundation has also donated a further £4000 to support their excellent work in Lesotho.
John Farnworth's brilliant freestyle performance at half-time received a great reception from both sets of fans. Anyone who would like to support his incredible London marathon challenge in aid of Kick4Life on 17 April can text FOOTBALL to 70777 to make a £10 donation.
Mark Abrahams, Head of Saints Foundation commented, “Southampton Football Club and Kick4Life would like to thank the Saints fans for their generosity, they make a huge impact in their area of expertise and it demonstrates the impact football can have around the world.”
