The Saints Foundation welcome 2012 with a range of experiences for fans to take on a new challenge and raise funds for disadvantaged young people and vulnerable adults. It’s a brand New Year so why not take on a new challenge, a True Saints Challenge and get yourself a True Saints Award at the end of it!
Make it your New Year’s resolution to meet a personal goal, try something new, take on a challenge or even brave a fear, all in the name of charity. Our True Saints Challenges offer you a variety of options, from trekking in the UK and overseas to diving with Sharks or running a marathon at the foot of Kilimanjaro.
All the challenges will be an amazing experience for participants but will also raise money for the Saints Foundation. Everyone that takes part in a True Saints Challenge and raises over £150 will be presented with a special ‘True Saints Award’ at a ceremony in April 2013. Challenges at a glance:
Monday 9th April 2012; Big Bike Challenge
Join your fellow fans and get peddling for this years 85 mile bike ride to Crystal Palace.
May/June - Zip Wire
Soar across the pitch on a Zip Wire right here at St Mary’s Stadium, an amazing experience and a one off way to see the pitch.
Saturday 1st September 2012; London Stadia Trekathon
Walk in the footsteps of the 2012 London Olympic Athletes and see the capital city on this 26miles trek for the Foundation.
Friday 26th October 2012; Sahara Desert Trek (10days)
Camping under the stars, crossing open plains, trekking through the dunes, this 10 day trek is awe-inspiring and humbling, if you have the desire to take part in the challenge of a lifetime then this is the trip for you.
Sunday 28th October; Bupa Great South Run
You saw friends of the foundation take it on last year, and we’re back with 25 places available for this year’s Bupa Great South Run.
Overseas trip to Africa 2012/2013
January 2013; Shark Encounter (U.K)
Fancy getting up close with Sand Tiger Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Zebra Sharks and more?!....well this may be the challenge for you!
February 2013; Kilimanjaro Climb
We are offering you the chance to Climb the highest free standing mountain in the world and attracts thousands of trekkers each year.

After a very successful trip to Kenya for 2011, 25 participants came back having felt like they had a life changing time experiencing somewhere very different to the UK. In 2012 we will be revisiting Africa on similar projects focusing on sport, health and lifestyle, more information will be available soon, but please get in touch if you are interested.
