Southampton Football Club is pleased to announce the introduction of the Saints Foundation which consolidates the successful Saints in the Community programme with a range of new and exciting charitable programmes.
The primary development will see the introduction of the Saints Foundation Fund with the sole aim of raising funds for specific projects in order to create a lasting legacy for many years to come. Football has proved to be a catalyst for positive change over many years and the introduction of the Saints Foundation develops this concept further. The aim is to embrace the collective passion for Southampton FC amongst our football family and support the development of improved facilities in areas of need.
The Charitable ambitions are another example of the commitment to improve and develop all areas of the Club and Nicola Cortese, Executive Chairman of Southampton Football Club, added:
“My decision to expand the community programme was driven by the desire to do more for our local community. The Foundation will have a broad appeal to fans, businesses and other charitable givers and it adds a new dimension to our community work in football and sports coaching, education, and health.”
The Foundation will be introducing a wide range of creative and imaginative ways in which fans can support the fund raising efforts and also enjoy unique Saints related opportunities that money can’t buy…unless you’re making a donation! The playing squad are fully behind the ambitions and Club Captain Kelvin Davis, commented: “I wholeheartedly support the Saints Foundation’s ambitions to raise funds and support a wide range of good causes and look forward to player a part in its success.”
